What a great idea, to get to know each other!
A little bit about me: Simply put, I grew up in a Greek/Cypriot family speaking Greek and English. Studied Latin and German at school, learned French to communicate with my (then) French in-laws, and love languages.
My spirit soars when I travel in Europe, always. I particularlly love being in Italy, and as I was going to be there last year, decided to learn the language. I want to use it more often though, as that is what makes it come alive. Ma, piano piano....
I work in the area of leadership development, love my work, and am blessed with great family and friends, and my very sweet and funny dog Sophie. (Watch out for the photo!)
Look forward to some more Italian connection in my life, and to more Melbourne members!

Hi Kalli,
Thank you for introducing yourself. What a varied background of languages you have. Feel free to post in Italian occassionally if you feel that will help you bring your Italian come alive.
I also have an F.Scott Fitzgerald novel - Tender is the Night in Italian if you'd like to borrow it. Actually it would be great to start an Italian novel borrowing/swapping club on this site - Do you have any?

Ciao Kalli and welcome to a kindred spirit.
How can one not love Italy! It's also great to see that you are continuing with the Italian language...just remember that the more you know, unfortunately, the more there is to know. You are right in taking it 'piano, piano'.
