Italy, my first date!
Not really my first date as that would have been some 30 + years ago but a date I will never forget.
2005, we [ my husband and I] had just a week in Rome and after the 2nd day I had taken 400 photos!
Following this week I also saw Tivoli`s Villa d`Este, Hadrians Villa, Capri, Sorrento, Naples, Pompeii, Florence and Venice.
Was it enough? Never! I believe that I have had a previous life in Italy. As I have never forgotten this holiday and have been plotting since, my return.
Currently I am planning a feast of a holiday in Italy but unfortunately for just a month for August 2011. My husband and I live in the Gold Coast region and we love to travel. But we really love Italy! Thanks for the chance to watch, taste, share and learn more about Italy.

400 photos in 2 days! - I hope you had time to look into your husband's eyes in all these romantic spots - LOL.
It seems like you too have been bitten by the love Italy bug. I took my Husband there last year - his first time. He fell in love with Michelangelo's work in Rome and had us looking at and finding every piece he did in that city. He can't wait to get back - we are going in September 2011.
PS I was just in the Gold Coast at end of October - for the car race - again my husband. We actually had great weather that week, which given it has rained so much here in Sydney was a real treat.

PS To my comment below - Maree It would be great if you added your photos to this discussion as images rather than as attachments - that way they will show up in the body of your text. Go - Edit discussion - click the little photo icon that sits in the menu of choice on font size, bullets etc - and add your photo that way. Let me know if you have any problems.
