Abruzzo: A Feast for the Senses 13-day tour from 29 Aug - 10 Sept 2012

Experience Abruzzo's authentic culture, traditions & festivals, gastronomic delights, heritage & unspoilt beauty

Just finished reading Mezza Italiana by Zoe Boccabella and would recommend it to anyone. It's beautifully written, a true labour of love I'd imagine. I found it very moving in parts, and, as a child of migrants myself, can fully empathise with a lot of what she says about growing up in Brisbane, a person straddling two cultures. Read it. You'll shed a tear but also enjoy a laugh.

I completely agree with you. Mezza Italiana is a beautiful book and I've recommended it to many people. I haven't enjoyed a book this much in ages. It's a book with heart and especially resonates with those of us who can feel 'half and half'.
