Yes, living and moving among people in a small Italian community is definitely the best way to immerse yourself in the language, culture and traditions - not to mention the food. I'm sure the work you're putting in learning Italian now will be rewarded. Take heaps of your wonderful photos.

Apologies that I haven't replied to your message earlier - things have been pretty hectic for me lately so haven't found time to log on to the site very often! Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my photos too - glad you liked them & hopefully they have given you a few new places to add to your list to visit! I'm certainly not a professional photographer but I manage to get some pretty good shots with my little digital camera! I'm heading back to Italy on Tuesday & hoping there will be snow for Christmas - if so you can expect a zillion new photos to be posted when I return in January!
I haven't done any photobooks yet, but think it is a great idea! I'd also like to get some prints done onto stretched canvas to hang in my house. My friend in Sydney is a great photographer so i've got a few favorites of her trip to Italy & Paris that i'd like to have done.

It's quite simple to post a photo on our FB page - Just go to our page http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/italianencounters and you will see the staus box which says 'What's on your mind'.
Under that box, you will see a small icon of a photo. Click the icon and upload your photo - Then you can write something about it - where is says 'what's on your mind'
